Reverse bandit signs

As investors, we have all heard of, used or at least seen signals from bandits. You know those telephone pole pendants titled “We Buy Houses”? Of course, these are bandit signs because they are constantly stolen by the police from attached signs – the local city benefactor, the local county manager, etc. Yes, they are only awake for about 3 days before one of these signal bandits steals them.

Contrary to what you’re probably theorizing right now, I don’t have a cure for bandits. The purpose here is to introduce a new idea called “Reverse Bandit Signals”. As you probably know, “We Buy Homes” groups and individuals are trying to attract sellers with their signs. However, here is a little trick that has proven to work very well.

Use the same black-on-yellow signs, but with a few twists. Print them professionally first instead of writing them by hand. Make the heading “Investor Buyers”. Make your text target buyers, NOT sellers. Include only your website address that potential buyers can go to to sign up for your buyer list.

Here is a possible example:

“Investor buyers

Wholesale properties for sale

First come first serve

Up to 54% discount on market value

Your domain name here “

Then post these signs high up on telephone poles at heavy traffic intersections on a Friday night. Make sure they are near real restaurants, not fast food places. Use someone’s pickup truck to stand on the bed and set it up high. This makes it more difficult for the bandits to reach them to take them down.

These signs will take investors who really want to buy your offers to your website and join your list of buyers. Of course, be sure to incorporate some automatic response on the site you send them to so that your response is immediate and automated.
