Ford Mustang, the small sports car with inspiration and performance

When the Spanish conquistadors arrived on the shores of the North American continent more than 500 years ago, they did not arrive alone. With them they brought some of the finest horses the world had ever seen. It was from the horses of the Pathfinders that the huge herds of Mustangs descended.

The leyends:

Every herd of wild horses has to have its legendary stallions, and there have been plenty. One in particular that stood out from the rest and was instantly recognized as the horse destined to become a leading stallion. “Mesteno,” which means “unclaimed horse” in Spanish, lived his entire life running free in the Steens Mountains of southeastern Oregon. Most Kigers today can trace their bloodlines back to this horse. This horse had such a presence for him that it inspired the “Breyer” modeling company to make a series that portrayed his life story. From his birth to his last years he is portrayed in the “Mesteno” series.

The Ford Motor Company certainly recognized the Image and Inspiration of the Legends.

He developed and refined many Great Ones; like the “Thunderbird” and the “Grand Marquis”…

However, one of the leaders that captured the hearts of Americans and beyond was, and still is: “The Mighty Mustang”!
