Speaker 1 Hello, guys, this is Tim Solo from A Traverse, and today I want to show you how to find the best content of your competitors. Why do they need their best content? Well, because you have to create something better and outperform them. You’re watching episode number 11. Oh, sorry. Sorry. Concentrate, concentrate. You’re watching episode number 11. That’s better of the oversimplified s e. O. So what is best contant, what exactly are we going to look for today? Well, there are three kinds, actually.

keywords

First is the content that generated tons of traction on social media. Second, the content that attracted tons of backlands and thought the content that gets tons of old traffic to your competition. Let’s see, how do you find all three kinds of content that helps your competitors? OK, let’s start from the kind of content that generated tons of traction on social media and the kind of content that attracted a lot of links. So what you see on my screen is a Trev’s content explorer. You can find it right in the top menu of a Trece. And once you put any website or domain name there, it will search for the most popular content that resides on this domain. Let’s try it with blog dhoti, Trev’s dot com and they click search. This is the least of the most popular content on a Trev’s blog, and as you can see, the top performing article is this one Westling building strategies that don’t require content. It seems that this topic resonated so much with our audience that they shared it like crazy. But as you can see from the Twitter shares column, this article is not the one that generated the biggest number of tweets. And actually I can click the Tweeter column, which will sort the articles by the amount of tweets they got.

audience marketing

And you can do this with any social network. For example, let’s click on Google Plus and see which article was best performing on Google Plus. Well, it’s still bustling building strategies that don’t require content. So this is how you find the most shared articles on any of the social networks, but what about the articles that generated the most backlash? Well, we have a column for that, too, and it’s the first one after date. If you click it, you sort the list by the amount of referring domains. And as you can see now, we have totally different articles at the top of the list, which means that you should create different types of content for getting traction on social media and for waiting tons of links. So as you can see with Content Explorer Tool by a Trev’s, you can find both the content that generated tons of social shares for your competition and the content that attracted tons of links for them.

retargeting

Now let’s talk about the content that brings them traffic from Google. And as usual, we have a tool for that, too. It’s called Positions Explorer, and it’s also the main menu of a Trev’s. So let’s use this tool to see which content brings SEO traffic to Brandyn from Becklin. Call dot com quite famous blog about SEO and building and they click search. What I’m interested in is the top pages, the report that’s located under organic research menu, let’s click it. And what do we get here is the list of pages on Brian Dean’s blog that bring him the most traffic from Google. We have a column called Traffic Here. But please keep in mind that this traffic is just an estimation.

It’s not the exact traffic that each of these articles gets. This report is a great place to look for some content, ideas for your own site. For example, let’s look at this article, how to rank YouTube videos. I think it’s pretty cool topic. And if we click the expand button in the keywords column, we’ll see quite a few keywords that this article is ranking for. As you can see, its ranking number one for you to see. Oh, it is ranking number one for video ranking, YouTube video ranking. How does YouTube videos etc etc etc.
