Look at Kobe Bryant!

Bodybuilders need to celebrate the greatness of Western civilization. But this does not mean simply celebrating “high culture.” The United States also has geniuses in other forums. Yesterday, in the first game of the Western final, Kobe Bryant of the Los Angeles Lakers deserved his second appearance on this blog. Kobe is simply the greatest basketball virtuoso in a long time. Halfway through the third quarter the Lakers trailed by 20. They won by 4. What happened? Kobe showed the genius of him.

This was not an accident. Kobe only took about three shots in the first half. This is the basketball equivalent of letting two strikes slip by because you only need one shot to knock it out of the park. Kobe’s game said, “I only need a quarter and a half to beat you.” It’s the equivalent of rope-a-dope. Kobe stood up against the ropes and said, “Go ahead and hit me for 11 rounds. I won’t hit you. Let’s see what you got.” Kobe is in a class with Ali.

The close score was not a coincidence. Kobe has been at it so long that he can time the comebacks. And the moment in this was incredible. The first lead came with about 2:42 left in the fourth. Amazing. It was the ultimate in genius. But, it really is a science.

One beautiful attribute that comes from Kobe’s ingenious control and calm is his way of sharing the ball. A few years ago, down the stretch, Kobe could have tried to take over and not pass the ball. Now, down the stretch, Kobe is distributing enough to take away his defense. He can let Sasha miss a distant 3-pointer or let Turiaf miss a pass. He knows how much we are going to win by and that spreading the ball around makes the players honest. Kobe controls all the other team with his distribution.

Never before in basketball history, to my knowledge, has a player shaved so blatantly and blatantly. In Hollywood he is the King of Drama and the King of Cool. Do you think his lack of shooting in the first half was a coincidence? Do you think the close final score was a coincidence? THINK AGAIN.

Kobe Bean Bryant is a genius. MVP aside, he’s on a whole different level than everyone else in the league! For those of you not watching, Kobe Bean Bryant’s current game is easily on the same level of greatness as Ali. He plays with the grace and confidence of the greatest artists of all time. When Kobe plays, we witness great moments in American sports history, a role model of greatness for all of us. We should be proud of the bodybuilder for his achievements. But beyond that, watching him is enjoying watching the genius in action.
