Extending the battery life of your mobile life can save you money. Replacing the batteries in these devices can be expensive. Often it will be more cost effective to purchase a new mobile device such as a smartphone or laptop.
Most mobile devices use a lithium ion battery. These are very compact and can store a large load compared to their size. That is why all smartphones sold today use this battery technology. One mistake people make is storing their smartphone or laptop in a hot area like the car on a hot summer day. It is best to keep lithium ion batteries at room temperature. Do not leave the device in your car in hot weather. Your car is heated laterally by the greenhouse effect. It may only be 75 degrees Fahrenheit outside, however it can get over 100 degrees in your vehicle if the sun is shining. This oxidation activity will decrease the life of your battery and you will eventually need to replace it. Replacement will be expensive and often inconvenient.
