Quick Ways to Lose Weight – Here are three you can start today!

Looking good and feeling healthy is definitely a challenge these days. With our busy lifestyles, hectic work schedules, and poor diets, it’s nearly impossible to achieve. With that being said, though, if you really want to get in shape and look good, you can. Since time is always a factor in deciding which workout to follow, here are three quick ways to lose weight that you can start implementing right away.

1) Walking- There are many misconceptions about walking and its ability to help you lose weight. Walking is actually a great way to lose weight. In fact, walking at a decent pace, but without running, will help you burn fat long after you’re done walking. To lose maximum weight, it would be best to walk briskly regularly and do sprints once a week or so. This type of routine will generally work better for weight loss than regular running at a faster pace. It’s also easier on the joints.

2) Resistance training– When people think of losing weight, they usually think of walking on a treadmill, jogging, or some other form of aerobic exercise. Aerobic or cardiovascular exercise has its place in a weight loss plan, but resistance training is much more important in my opinion. The more lean mass you have, the more calories you’ll burn each day. If you gain muscle and eat the same number of calories, you’ll burn more calories each day just from the muscle gain. Resistance training done correctly will cause your body to burn calories to help rebuild muscle and make it grow. If you’re trying to lose weight and you’re not doing any resistance training, you’re really underestimating yourself. Whether it’s in a gym with weights, at home with weights, or training with body weight, you’re bound to lose more weight than doing cardio alone.

3) Fasting to lose weight– Fasting for weight loss is, in my opinion, the best way to lose weight. It’s easy, it costs you nothing, and it will work better than anything else you try. There are so many myths about fasting, you really have to watch who you listen to. I’ve been doing it for almost a year and have had great success. It’s something I’ll use for the rest of my life and I wish I’d discovered it sooner. I do a form of fasting called intermittent fasting that is incredibly easy to follow and I still eat every day. I never count calories, I never need to try different diets, and I never worry if I go to a party and overindulge on the weekends.

There you have 3 quick ways to lose weight that will work very well if you try them constantly. If you combine all three for a full month, you will definitely see better results than anything else that I know of. Give them a try and you’ll be well on your way to having the body you want. Of the three, fasting for weight loss has given me the best results, especially when I decrease my carbohydrate intake during times when I’m eating.
