Trujillo Alto in Puerto Rico

It is located in the North Coastal Plain and in the karstic zone. On January 8, 1801, Trujillo Alto was established by fellow citizens from the upper part of the Loiza River. The city got its name from Alonso de Trujillo, who previously owned the estate. The city is considered part of the San Juan Metropolitan Area although it does not have a significant tourist attraction that includes the cities of Guavnabo, Cataño, Bayamón, Canóvanas, Toa Baja and Toa Alta. The flag is a rectangular white flag and in the middle of the flag is the entire shield.

The city is also known as the tenth most populous city in Puerto Rico during 2003 with more than 75,000 inhabitants. During the 20th century the population increases continuously and as time goes by. El Carraizo, Las Cuevas, Dos Bocas, La Gloria, Quebrada Negrito, Quebrada Grande, Saint Just and Trujillo Alto Pueblo are just the barrios (barrios, district). The city also has its festival that is held every September. The Arrecostao marathon is the popular marathon that is held every year. Some of the natural features of the area are the Grande de Loiza river, the Carraizo dam, Haya Fria, Infierno, Limones, Maracuto, Naranjo and Pastrana. The way of life of the people in is through agriculture like fruit cultivation and animal husbandry like animal husbandry. Their agricultural and livestock products are sold to other places. Trujillo Alto is known to be improving in industrial terms. The city has large factories of food products, fabrics, wood, metals, electrical and electronic machines. They also have stone quarries. The city is focusing more on improving its place.
