What is magic with AK?

For the past 13 months I have been doing a course called The Rite of the Twelve Celestial Regents.
It is created by the people who also make New Zealand First Light flower essences, of which I am a practitioner. They suggested that I take this course, so I did.
I had GREAT resistance doing this course, at one point I wanted to drop out. I just had a problem with performing rituals. I figured if I was going to take any action, I might as well spend my time loading the dishwasher. hahaha, I just didn’t see the point of standing in this direction and ringing this bell.
I didn’t see this as magic, but more as a course on planets and Goddess energy.
Damien Echols
During this time, I decided to buy some books and take a course from Damien Echols, someone I had been following for quite a few years when I first met him in the West Memphis Three case. Where he spent 18 years on death row for a crime he did not commit.
Damien calls himself a ceremonial magician, I started following him on Patreon after noticing such a big change in him from the person he was after getting out of prison to the person he is today. He wanted to know what it was about his magic practice that made the difference.
He first attracted me recently through his book on Angels. Then I started reading his book on Magic, and I felt it related to the course he was taking.
I felt very guided by Magick, but didn’t know why. And I still don’t know why.
What is magic
Damien says in High Magick: “First of all, you are already doing magic. With every thought, word and action, you are influencing the world around you and determining what comes your way.”
Magick with ak differs from Magic, which is performance magic and the likes of David Copperfield and David Blain.
There is High Magic and Low Magic (and of course black magic which is what most people think of magic).
High Magick is about spiritual growth and Low Magick is about earthly wants and needs.
Low Magick is what we mainly think of when we think of magic, love spells and money attraction, etc. But Damien says you can’t think beyond this if you can’t put food on the table.
High Magick is what I mainly focus on. I am in the early stages of the rituals you have described, such as the Lesser Banished Pentagram ritual.
However, I am starting to have less resistance to doing the rituals, I am beginning to see that the movement and incarnation of standing and gesturing with the arms is not much different from saying qigong and raising and directing energy.
I don’t have a problem with qigong like I do with magic, so that tells me that there is a lot of negative energy in the collective consciousness about magic, and also from my past lives.
The LBRP is about clearing the space, and also about invoking the Archangels, vibrant Names of God and orienting yourself towards the Elemental directions, which many other religions practice.
Another way of describing Magic is Theurgy, which consists of aligning with the source of creation to become more like it. Which really is just another way to describe spiritual growth. Many religions also see this as the way to God.
Both up and down
This saying is pretty well known in personal growth circles now, perhaps due to the Law of Attraction and how popular it is.
As it is above it is below, as it is below it is above, as it is inside it is outside. And we can influence one plane by acting on the other.
Perhaps most of my spiritual life has been working on the higher planes, but I believe that I am being called into Magic to embody Heaven here on Earth, instead of doing everything mentally and not including my body.
I certainly feel more empowered.
This is just a small view of Magick, there are many more aspects and rituals, linked to the Tree of Life as well.
