Women can become surrogate mothers after tubal ligation

Once a woman has completed building her own family, she can undergo a procedure called a tubal ligation. The surgery involves your fallopian tubes where they are separated and tied off so that the chances of getting pregnant again are significantly reduced and are considered by doctors as a permanent birth control measure.

They are not sure whether or not they should proceed with the application process.

The wonderful news is that women who have had their tubes tied after having their children can become candidates and can continue with their medical tests. A tubal ligation has no direct connection to having a baby for the intended parents.

A surrogate mother candidate must not have had more than three caesarean sections. For example, if she had a C-section, she has the opportunity to start on two trips, and if she had two C-sections, she can start on one trip.

While the process is exciting, it’s natural for women to have a number of questions about how third party reproduction works and what it entails. The internet offers many answers in your quest to become a surrogate, but the best way to find answers to those burning questions is to speak with a reputable agency that has been in the industry for a decade or more. An agency that offers a personal pre-screening consultation is a great starting point. Previous and repeat surrogates will provide those answers before one has to fill out an application. Surrogacy is an exciting journey, but the decision must be made carefully with the right agency.
